In the month of May various tournaments are held, such as hockey on rollerskates, handbafl and football, and in August there is the Caminada Popular de Sant Bonosi (popular walk), as well as regattas and other sporting events.

In summer, activities such as Cantades d'Havaneres (popular folksong concerts) are held, as well as dance festivals, Sardanes, (typical Catalonian street dancing) so that our visitors can learn something of our local customs while enjoying themselves at the same time.

The Festa Major, the local fair, takes place from the 21st to the 28th July in honour of its patroness, Santa Anna, with a programme of numerous activities. The International Costa Brava Fireworks Contest, with the Town of Blanes Trophy, is held during the July fair. It is one of the most important in our country and attracts many visitors to our town.

The small Festa Major is held on the 21st August, on the feast of Sant Bonosi and Sant Maximia.

On December 21st, the Sant Tomas Fair is held, where you can acquire toys and all kinds of Christmas adornments.

Throughout the year, various Artisan Fairs are held on different days. Artists and craftsmen, from all over the province, gather together to exhibit and sell samples of their work.
