BLANES HARBOUR 71TH OPEN SWIM RACE - 2013

HOW TO TAKE PART IN IT
1. The distance from the race is 900 m. The departure point is from the rock “Sa Palomera” and the arrival at the little beach close to the harbour (once crossed the marked line on the sand).

2. Everybody can take part even if not affiliate. The registration form have to be filled out with all personal details and can be done at the Sport Dpt. (Ciutat Esportiva Blanes) or by Mail:esports@blanes.cat, from august 1 - august 9 during business hours. The payment receipt have to be sent by fax at the following number: 972 35 29 09. Account number is: 0081.0120.33.0001206724(Bank de Sabadell).

Registrations are also possible on the event day, until 09:30h.

3. Registration fee is 3€ each registration. No registration will be valid without the payment. In any case, registered swimmers will be reimbursed.

4. Reception of the competitors takes place in front of the “Sa Palomera” rock from 08.30 am. to 09.30 am.

5. The race staff is responsible for the whole organisation. His decisions are unappealable. Each club representative as well as single swimmers have to carry out the organisation rules.

6. No material to float easier or to be propelt is allowed. This could be a disqualification ground.

7. The organisation has full discretion to cancel the race due to unsafe weather conditions.

8. Each Club, their officials and single swimmers are responsible for their own discipline and safety.

9. Safety concerns require us to ensure that every participant has adequate swim experience. This is why we recommend to all clubs and competitors not to take part to the event if you have not a qualifying swim.

10. If we are forced to cancel the 70th Open Swim due to unsafe weather conditions or unsanitary water conditions, the race would be change to august, the 25 th with the same timetable.

Novelty 2013!!! A cap with a participation number on it will be given to all swimmers which must be worn during the event

POSITIONS AND AWARDS
1. Prize giving and breakfast for the swimmers will be at about 11.15 am. in the “Cofradía de Pescadores”. The 3 first OPEN winners will get trophy. Following participants will also get trophy: The first home teams, male and female as well as the oldest and youngest competitors. Race souvenirs will be distributed to all swimmers.

2. The rankings are available at www.blanes.cat from 19 August

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

- All swimmers in the 71 th Open Race swim at their own risk. The race staff is responsible for the qualifications and registrations.

- Close to the departure point (Sa Palomera), the race staff will place a wardrobe service. They will take the bags to the arrival point. Swimmers can pick up their belongings from 10.15 to 11.00 pm.

- For the good development of the race the staff ask to comply with all rules.

- The registration at the 71th Blanes Harbour means to obey the rules. Official complaint can be made at the “Área de Deportes” maximum till the 13 th. August 2013, at 14.00 am.
